VMS urges Gov. Scott to fill Green Mountain Care Board vacancy with medical professional

The Vermont Medical Society sent a letter to Gov. Phil Scott last week urging him to fill the pending vacant on the Green Mountain Care Board with a currently or recently practicing medical professional.

The letter stated that medical professionals would bring important medical and health care policy experiences, to the board.  VMS also noted that three vacancies in the past year were not filled with clinicians, contrasting recent history when both a physician and a registered nurse were members of the board.
